Our national flag flew at half mast last week as we mourned the loss of 1st year student Saoirse O'Driscoll.
Students, staff and parents and the wider school community wrote messages of condolence and remembered how Saoirse had affected their lives during her time with us. Saoirse was a positive, resilient student with a great sense of fun and particularly enjoyed Art, Woodwork and Home Economics. We were honoured to be part of a joint guard of honour with students from Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada and Coláiste Cois Life and to hear of Saoirse's many adventures and charity projects at her funeral. The whole school community also held a moment of silence to mark her loss. We hold her close in our hearts.
As part of her tribute we are asking the wider community to consider being an organ donor.
